Need help with non column report
Hi everyone. Very new to Monarch. I am trying to extract data from the following report format. How can I get the info into a single line? Everything I tried picks up each individual field as a separate item in the table. I would like for each block to be one record with the fields as Employee#, LAST NAME, etc. Thanks for your help
DATE 04/20/17 EMPLOYEE INFO PAGE 1
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EMPLOYEE #.................. NNNN(N)
LAST NAME.................... XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
FIRST NAME................... XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
DEPARTMENT CODE..... NNNN
............................................................................................................................................
DATE 04/20/17 EMPLOYEE INFO PAGE
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EMPLOYEE #.................. XXXXX
LAST NAME.................... XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
FIRST NAME................... XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

If your data is consistent, you should be able to select multiple lines in report design and create a detail template:
Depending on how your monarch was installed, you may have the Monarch Learning Guide available in your program list. Check out Chapter 8. Although I mention a detail template, look at the section titled: TRAPPING THE ACCOUNT NUMBER AND CONTACT LINES.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the response Chris. I was able to setup the trap on the multiple lines. However, when I select the auto-define fields it only picks up the first 5 lines. There are a total of 12 lines I need for each record. I am using the trial version and I wonder if this is a limitation on the trial version.

The trial version is a fully functional version. Auto define does not always pick up everything correctly, but if you selected 12 lines for your sample data, you should be able to define/draw the missing fields that you need.
