Modelling a clevis pin

Hello everyone,

I am trying to model a joint with clevis pin for a bike footrest, as shown in the image below. I have created friction contact between the pin surface and the inner surface of the holes in the other components. I have constrained the pin along its axis to avoid translation. However, I see really high stress values on the pin compared to a normal shear stress calculation for this arrangement. It would be great if I could get some opinion on this.

Perhaps you have overconstrained it? Try more realistic connections such as contact or utilizing dofs on the rbe instead of a spc (I am assuming that is what you used?)
