Community Champion of the Month - April, 2025
Altair EmployeeThe Community Team would like to introduce the April Champion of the Month, Lasse Kaikko @Lasse.
Lasse works as a Solution Manager in a team where one of the team’s key responsibilities is to automate processes of transforming unstructured or semi-structured data into a structured format. He has been working with data extraction, data preparation, and automation for 7 years. Lasse finds the most interesting aspect of his role is discovering solutions to complex problems and continuous development of technical solutions together with his team.
He uses Altair Data Prep Studio for data extraction and preparation and Monarch Server Automator for automating data processing. “I particularly appreciate the flexible input capabilities, user-friendly interface, Regular Expression support, and the versatile function library in Data Prep Studio”. The features that Lasse appreciates the most about Monarch Server Automator are its efficiency and the ease of building processes. "One of the most important features is its support for writing scripts, which enables the automation of very complex processes. In addition to the efficiency benefits and time savings, I strongly believe that automation positively impacts data quality”.
Lasse has found that the Altair Community is a great place to exchange ideas and knowledge with other users and Altair support personnel. “I'm happy to be part of this supportive community. If it's possible to highlight one person, I would like to thank Altair's Steve Caiels (@Steve_Caiels) for many insightful discussions”.
On a personal note, Lasse enjoys running and has made it a tradition to participate in a marathon in a different country each year as it is a great way to combine running with exploring new places.
