New AI Studio Modules for FIRST Robotics Are Live

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share that we’ve added two new modules for Altair AI Studio on Altair’s support page for FIRST Robotics. These modules are designed to help students and mentors make smarter, data-driven decisions during alliance selection. Check them out:

📘 Module 3 – Classifying Teams for Smarter Scouting


This process focuses on team selection in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) using data aligned with the latest REEFSCAPE rules. It classifies teams into categories like:

  • Autonomous Specialists
  • Teleop Specialists
  • Developing Teams
  • Balanced Teams

You can then filter based on key performance attributes to find the best fit for each role — helping you build a well-rounded alliance.

📘 Module 4 – Clustering for Better Team Pairing


This module uses K-Means Clustering to group teams based on key performance metrics like auto score and teleop score. By identifying natural clusters of complementary teams, it helps you create alliances that maximize your competitive edge.
