How to create this node?

I learn a tutorial named rubber ring. I open this model and find there is a node 2266 not in the corner of elements but on the edges.

I am curious how to create a node anywhere I want. I use 'point' in 'topology' to create a point, but it can not be recognized as a node. It's just a geometry point not a part of FE model.

I should use which tools? Please give me the whole steps. My version is Hypermesh 2024.1. Much appreciation.

Hi yhr,

I don't have HM in this device, but i believe you are very close. The very same tool that allows you to create points can be used to create nodes, if i am not mistaken. You can select the entity type on the dropdown top/left on the graphics area, before clicking the location.
