Description: I want to use DSim Studio to simulate Gowin FPGA designs. I followed the tutorial: Tutorial: DSim Studio for GOWIN. I was sucessfully able to compile and run the example design, however when I tried to view the waveforms with waves.mxd I got this error Error libmxd failed to load. You may be on an unsupported OS, architecture or application version. How do I resolve this?

Windows 11 / VSCode / DSim Studio 2025

Are you sure you installed DSim Studio, and not the deprecated DSim Desktop? Ensure you've uninstalled DSim Desktop before running DSim Studio. This can be done from the VSCode Extension - DSim Desktop. Also, ensure you've installed the Latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable, as instructed in the Prerequisites of Install DSim Studio.

I installed DSim Studio, but seemed to also have installed DSim Desktop. Uninstalled that, and now it works. Thank you!
