1. Can I setup 12 symmety plane to optimize the structure as above picture? I find only 3 symmetry plane can be used.
2. Can I setup contact between gears as load to optimize it?

hi,

1. you can refer to this video using cyclic symmetry. You will specify the # of repetitions in your design around a defined axis.

2. you could use contacts as driving forces, BUT it would probably take longer to run your model. So you need to take this into account, if it is worhty using NL run for this, or a linear simplified model.
