In Feko, how do you change the nearfield plot scale unit in 3D or surface plots?

Hi,

I want to show a nearfield result plane in the unit of dBuV. I can set it to dB, but then it only displays in dBV. I can set a field scale range, or I can set units for the x and y axes, but not for the field scale unit.

The option that affects this change for Cartesian plots seems to be missing for surface or 3d plots, or at least I can't find it.

I probably could hack something by manually adding a scaling factor and manually editing the trace text after disabling the automatic unit display, but I hope that isn't the only option.

    Hi @tobias_from_edag ,

For 2D plots, the units of the Horizontal and vertical axes can be changed by going to the "Trace" tab in POSTFEKO. Here you can find t he Horizontal and Vertical units with the scroll down options.

If a certain unit is not available, it can be manually created by using the Enable Maths option and editing the Chart text.

The trace tab does not exist for 2d surface plots in my version. I can see the similar menu in the results tab, as I had written in my original post, but there is no option to change the plotted value unit only the axes.

@tobias_from_edag Yes, this option allows the users to plot modify the axes unit. To change the units of the plotted data, you will have to use the Enable Maths option and specify the conversion equation

    Hi @tobias_from_edag,

I will contact the development department about changing the unit in 3D plots. I could imagine that other users would also be interested. I believe that this could be implemented in future versions.

    Best regards,
    Torben
