3D Tet Mesh "failed nodal setup"

Hi!

I am trying to create a 3D mesh for a motor mount and when I use the Tet mesh tool in HyperMesh and select my solid, the following message occurs and no mesh is generated:

I'm not too sure what this means wrt the imported CAD file or the mesh I tried to generate. The only thing that happens is that these "lines" form in the holes, but they go away when the Tet tool is exited.

If anyone can help, that would be greatly appreciated :)

    Hi,

Have you tried to measure the dimension of your part before meshing it? Just to compare and define the right elem size.

If the elem size is properly defined, then you can try to generate a 2D tria mesh first, check elem quality/connectivity and eventually fill it with tetra.

    Regards,
    Fred.
