I have a Impact wrench mechanism CAD and I want to simulate it in Motion Solve / view then extract the loadings like force, torque etc….

Then use that loadings for FEA Analysis , also I would like to model a Flexible Body to obtain a Stress and Strain Result in Motion Solve.

I have one you tube Tutorial link which contains the Impact wrench Mechanism simulation tutorial performed using Siemens NX Motion. i want to replicate the same in Motion view/solve.

How to do it in Motion solve ?

You tube Link : https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=OFtopvX5Vvw

Thanks & Regards,

    Hello @Sivaprakash_V

If you are already familiar with using Motionview/Motionsolve, its a fairly easy mechanism to simulate by creating few joints/constraints, contacts and forces.
If you are a beginner please go through the following eLearning for Motionview:
    https://learn.altair.com/enrol/index.php?id=496

The eLearning would provide a deeper insight in creating Motionview entities.

Once the basic mechanism is working as expected. You can integrate the flexible bodies created using the in-built Flexprep tool, and exporting the FE loads for further FE analysis. These topics are also covered in the eLearning.

Hope this helps in creating your model!

Sure! If you can share your model (if its shareable), Export the model as an archive and zip it. And mention what specific issue you are facing with creating springs. That will help to provide a better solution.
For dedicated support you can also create a ticket by mailing to hwsupport@altair.com and one of the MBD experts will connect with you based on your timezone.

    Hi Vishvam,

    Thanks for your reply.

I hope you saw the video which I shared via Youtube link.

I have some basic working knowledge in motion solve/view by exploring the E learning tutorials from Altair one few weeks ago. In the tutorial, they use Piton & cylinder assembly and Fourbar linkage Mechanism, I am able to simulate the same mechanism my self by using altair tutorials, but in our application point of view I can't able to simulate it.

I faced an issues while creating Springs and ball in v grooves present in hammer and its Shaft.
So I am stuck in that process. Could you help me in this?

    Thanks & Regards,
    Sivaprakash V.
