DOE on implicit modelling parameters

Hello everyone,
I'm working with Altair Inspire software and I'm experiencing some issues with DOE and implicit modeling. I'll try to introduce the problem.
Once I defined an implicit model, giroids in this case, parametrically for a part of the model, I attempted to set up a DOE that would allow me to determine the optimal values for the design variables of the giroids (such as cell pitch, cell size, etc.).
The DOE I defined considers some solid parts, a moving fluid, and varies the parameters of the implicit model with the goal of minimizing the temperatures of some critical solid components. I will leave a sketch below.
Unfortunately, the created implicit modeling is a meshed part (STL format) within the CAD model, so the DOE setup turns out to be not correct, since to a meshed part cannot be assigned any solid or fluid properties.
How can I solve this situation?
I was wondering if it would be possible to create a DOE that works with the design parameters of the implicit modelling, in this peculiar framework, and how can I convert the meshed version of the implicit modelling into a CAD, keeping the parametrization.
Thanks in advance!
Andrea

Hi Andrea,
Inspire 2025 is now available on the Altair One Marketplace and has the new capability of assigning Implicit parts directly as Embedded Solids which do not require any conversion to another geometry type. The embedded solids will be removed from the fluid domain in the solver, as shown below:
Variables can be assigned to the Implicit parameters as usual and can be driven by Design Explorer to run a study on geometry changes and Fluids responses.
Best regards,
Wesley
