When we have electrostatic force, we can define the particle charge in the factory properties. Does anyone know how can we define charge for a custom factory?
Hi Mostafa,
You would have to create a Custom Property called 'Charge' with 1 element and units of eCharge.
If you have not used custom properties before this tutorial outlines creation of a Geometry custom property in a contact model.
The process would be similar for a factory only defining the property as a Particle property in the Category.

Thanks, But this Tutorial does not work. The Software crashes as soon as I import the contact model.
And If I define charge using custom property, can I use built-in electrostatic body force?
Hi, did you make any changes to the tutorial? I checked it and it runs OK for me with the default settings.
To answer the second question you can combine the in-built and API custom properties, so long as the names and definition of the properties match.
No, I just change input values according to the Manual. But I was able to define charge as the custom property.
