I have some questions about the image above (topology revision options).

When should these options be used?

    hello @asdfsdfasdfasdfasdf ,

    in the classic UI, these option rules remeshing scenarios in case you edit after mesh a geometry that is associated to a mesh.

    If you choose remesh, then any change to the associated CAD will lead to a remesh of the affected surface(s)

    In the new UI, this option is under Meshing preferences → CAD Topology Revision:
