hi,

I create a surface mesh on a parallelepiped, but now I need to extend the mesh to all the volume in order to make a cfd analysis. Could you please help me?

i use both Hypermesh and Hypermesh cfd

The volume mesh is created using the Volume tool

Any surfaces not already meshed will be meshed. Any existing surface mesh will be preserved. So one actually go straight to Volume - as it will generate surface and volume mesh.

Thank you, but in this way the mesh is not an "extencion" of the surface mesh.

So, I have another question: is there a way to create a structured volume mesh with HyperMesh CFD?

Or are you referring to Extrusion? You'll see the 'Extrusion' tool in the Mesh Controls section of that Mesh ribbon. You may be able to create an all-hex mesh if your starting surface is all-quad, and the solid body is extrudable. (If by 'structured' you mean true structured with I-J-K block indices - that is not possible with HyperMesh CFD.)
