If I import an STL file to model polyhedral particles, will the number of meshes affect the computational efficiency?

    Hi,

    Yes, the number of elements that makes up a polyhedral particle does influence the simulation speed, the more elements the longer the simulation will take.

    Best practice is to ensure you capture the shape that you are interested in, but aim to keep the number of elements as low as possible.

    It's also worth noting that the Concave shape is more computationally demanding than the Convex shape, so if it's not necessary to model the Concave elements it's best to ensure the shape is Convex.
