Inquiry About Simulations with Elastomers in Altair Inspire Extrude Polymer

Hello everyone,

I hope you're doing well! I've been researching the capabilities of Altair Inspire Extrude Polymer and wanted to know if it supports simulations with elastomeric materials. Specifically, I'm curious about materials like Silicon (SI), Rubbers (SBR), Neoprene (PCP), Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM), or NBR.

If anyone has experience with this or can provide additional insights, I’d really appreciate your input.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Best regards,

Carlos G.

yes. this is possible. We have helped a few of our clients with similar requests. Such materials are not possible to simulate using standard constitutive models, so have a DLL method by which you can model such special material behavior.
