how do you create a mesh around an airfoil?
Hello,
I need to create two types of meshes of a NACA 0012 airfoil in 2D. I have the airfoil and the boundary within which to create the mesh, but I can't divide the two surfaces to create the mesh. Can you help me?
I'm using HyperMesh CFD
Thank you

This is the Meshing section of the HyperMesh CFD Help system:

I would review the 'Define Mesh Controls' and 'Create and Edit 2D Surface Mesh' sections.
If you mean quads when you mention 'structured' probably can get at least quad-dominant. If you mean true structured with I/J/K indices, this may not be the tool.

Which two types of meshes do you need to create?
What is your intended solver?
Not sure what you mean by 'divide the two surfaces'. Can you share some images of your intended approach?
This is a good tutorial for AcuSolve - with no planar solver - where 2D is solved by extruding one element in the thickness direction.

Thank you acupro.
I managed to set the surfaces as I need them.
Now I have to create a structured and an unstructured mesh, but I'm not sure of the right order of steps to follow. Guides refer to 3D bodies
