hyperstudy EDEM didn't work in evaluation

Hello, I imported some kinematic values from EDEM and used optimization and DOE to check.

In the result, the changing of values didn't work.(I checked that the changing of those three values have effect on Lacey)

How can I solve this problem?

I just test with simple rotating mixing, it happened too.

    I checked the DEM file in approach.

    the values are didn't changed in EDEM.

    Hi,

    It seems like it is always copying or exporting data from the same simulation.

    Firstly I would recommend updating to the latest 2024.1 version.

    Also make sure in your model resources that the .py script is copied to the folder contain the simualtion files, not linked:

    You can also check when you go to the Test Model that when you write the files, that all the relavent files are in the correct folder:

    And then finally can you check when the results are calculated, if you go to the folder manually and check the results, are the results files in the folder and are they different for each set of results?

    I have one more question, I checked the tutorials that didn't use GPU solve,

    and I used other computer doesn't have GPU in that computer writing worked.

    Hyperstudy can't use GPU solver of EDEM?

    Hi,

    Hyperstudy can use EDEM GPU solver, by default Hyperstudy doesn't specify any solver type for EDEM as it will just pickup what is set in the simulation file. So if you setup the simulation with CPU it will always run CPU, if you choose GPU it will always run GPU if available.

    It is always worth testing if the case you have runs and export the data when running GPU outside of HyperStudy, if it isn't running on GPU then it's most likely to be specific to EDEM running on that computer rather than HyperStudy.

    I check that the running EDEM with only cpu, the hyperstudy can write the variables in EDEM.

    With GPU solver with EDEM it worked well.

    I will check why hyperstudy can't write variable when solver use gpu.

    And I'm using 2022.2 version of softwares
