Calculating magnetic coupling

Hi there,

I am very new to using FEKO, I am trying to calculate the magnetic coupling between two loops. Starting simple and working my way up......

I created two loops, made them into wire, associated a wire port for each and then only applied a voltage source to one and then simulated for the near field.

Not sure what else I could have done here, the simulation produces a nice image however I am looking for numbers based answers. The plan to is gradually move the loops apart as well as adding sheet material of different conductivity between to form a study.

Any advice would be enormously appreciated!

    Hi Mattt,

To look into number based answers in POSTFEKO extract OUT file or you can right click on the graph and extract the .dat file.

    Hi Matt,

As Smitha said, it is an easier method to extract the result from the graph. You can also try option to export the file into .EFE format as well to analyse near field result. In CADFEKO, click advanced setting in 'request near fields' option and there will  be option to export the file into .EFE file.

    Thank you.
