Orthotropic Materials in Simsolid

Hi,

As per the release notes, Simsolid Version 2021 supports orthotropic material data. do you have any sample model available for models with orthotropic material properties?

Hi Sujith,

 

We don't have a model with simulation results in the tutorials yet but you can find a tutorial for creating an orthotropic material in the SimSolid Tutorials>Assembly>Material Database>Create Orthotropic Material. 

You can then apply that material to any part and change the orientation of the material by right-clicking on a part with that material assignment in the Assembly Tree and selecting Set orthotropic material geometry.
