changes in geometry in EDEM

Hii,

I was wondering whether there is a way to make changes in the implemented geometry via SolidWorks without doing the changes in the SolidWorks and importing it back to EDEM.

For example if I want to do experiments for different falling angles. What is the best way without changing the angle in the SolidWorks and importing it back for each wanted angle and starting from scratch.

Hi Reshad Ahmadi,

In EDEM we don't have option to modify the existing geometry at present but we can do such studies using co-simulation with Hyper study and this module is called as EDEMDT.

Hi Reshad,

EDEM cannot modify the shape of an imported CAD, unfortunately, only its position/orientation. However, if you want to run some sort of geometry optimization process, at some point soon it should be possible to do topology optimization using EDEM+Hyperstudy+Hypermesh to change geometry shapes based on EDEM model performance.
