hi, i am trying to reproduce the results from thesis for the field to wire coupling. the wire is terminated at both ends with 221 ohm impedance. i got the same resonances in as the thesis for one end on the wire correctly but not the same amplitude as the published results. Also the other wire end gives completely wrong results. can anyone please help me with that to know what is the problem.

the thesis is also attached and the results are shown in pad 27.

thanks

    Hello Mohamed,

I think the difference in the models comes down to the plane wave definition differences. I would suggest that you study the definition used to define the plane wave in thesis and then ensure that the correct plane wave is defined in FEKO. You can also model the simple cable model in MoM (in FEKO) directly and you will see that the results agree. The thesis is not perfectly clear w.r.t. dimensions and I see you have assumed the same radius and length as in previous sections.

    I hope this helps.

thanks for the replay but i am really new in using FEKO and can not understand what you mean by MOM . I would be grateful if  you could advice me about specific video or work flowchart or manual for using MOM in FEKO to simulate terminated wire above aground plane.

    thanks
