Can I set the number of elements I want rather than editing the mesh size?

Hello, everyone. I want to do mesh convergence analysis of a 3D model, by using the maximum von Mises stress as the tested variable. However, I want to compare that maximum von Mises stress with the changes of number of elements, like from 10,000, 20,000, 30,000, instead of changing the mesh size.

What I know so far is that we can only modify the mesh size. But is there any function to set the desired number of elements? Thank you for any advice

    Hi,

the initial definition is based on mesh size, and this cannot be changed.

But, once you create the initial mesh, it will open the interactive settings, where you can change the element count (density) for each edge of your model.
