How to copy surface component along with its yellow line?

In here I had two surface components, the upper and lower one, which is connected by the yellow line (which will result in connected node during the automesh)

I want to copy those components for the later use. I copied it by organize --> surfs by collector to select the component I want to copy --> dest component is a new component. But it turned out that the connecting line became red line, meaning it is free edge. In the figure below is the example when I tried to copy the lower one.

But when I copied both of the surfaces, the connectivity became green

Therefore I would like to ask, how can I copy not only the surface, but also the connectivity from the copied components?

Not sure I understand why you are trying to do that. By copying both surfaces you seem to get what you want. If you want it to still be connected to the original component you will have to reconnect it as this is not generally the use case for copying.
