How to remesh the result of thicken shells?
Hello,
Currently I am facing a problem where I intended to remesh the elements produced from using element offset feature as shown below:
I want to make the mesh of that flat surface becoming trias as well using 2D -> automesh, as shown below:
However, that rectangular meshes didn't change at all after the process. The meshing only affected the surface above it (the surface of the original body).
Therefore, is there any way to make that thickened surface becoming the same type of mesh like the other region? Thank you for your kind attention

What Altair product(s) are you using? I can redirect your question to the proper forum once you respond.

You can't remesh your 3D mesh while it is attached to your 2D shell mesh.
The best approach here would be:
- delete the solid mesh
- remesh your 2D shell mesh
- go back to 'offset' and re-create your 3D mesh.

I am sorry, but at first I made that thickened shells in 2D elem offset. I haven't been able to make any solid. May I know any reference to remesh the 2D shell mesh?
