How to plot 1D Results on 3D Geometry
Hello all,
I am working on a simulation of a pipe. I would like to check whether the expansion or compression of the entire pipeline leads to unacceptably high stresses. For this purpose I have extracted the centerline of the pipe and meshed it with 1D elements. Using the boundary conditions, I fixed one end of the line and shifted the other by a specified value. As cross-sectional area I have given accordingly the inner and outer diameter of the pipe.
Is there a possibility in the post to transfer the results obtained with 1D elements to the 3D pipe geometry?
I think this is necessary to see the real maximum stresses at the outer and inner radius?
Thank you very much and best regards
Marvin
