Set material orientation along ring profil

Hi,

 

how can I set the material orientation of the 2d elements along the circumferential direction of this ring profile?

picture attached.

    Hi,

    Try creating a cylindrical system, and assign material orientation 'by system axis'

    Thank you, it works.

    It is possible to set the orintation along a curve?

    I cannot find the option in HM13.

    Hi,

     

    Go to 2D page>>Composites>> Material orientation>> select the elements  and click review.

    maybe you need a script. a relevant tcl command is *element2Dalign.

    try searching it on script exchange
