Stop process and send email notifications when no input file available

Hello,
Is there a way to stop a Visual process within Automator and send an email notification when no input file is present? I've tried using Verify Model and Verify workspace but was not successful. I've also tried using alerts but the process still continues and sends a completion email that is setup at the end of the process when it completes.

Sometimes!
For example, you can verify AFTER a Data Prep export without using a hub. This is useful in terms of alerting and maybe triggering a different flow from the 'failed' path; but an empty file has already been created by this stage. To verify BEFORE export, you need a hub. This allows you to abort the process before an empty file is created.
