Unite intersecting meshed components

Is there a way of combining intersecting solid hex meshed bodies (in some form of bolean union)? I want them to share elements at the intersection.

Thanks for all the help I can get! I got the model already meshed and I now found some collisions.

    I think manually editting mesh is the only way

    Hi,

    In 'Tool' panel > Edges > you can select the elements and equivalence them as shown in the below image.
