Moving vertices from selected objects in the detail drop down box

I have to move the vertices of selected objects in the drop down details box. I don't know how to select two distinct objects simultaneously so that I can move the object vertices. How do I do this ?

    CTRL-A is used to select all.

    But please post a few images, or a more detailed description of what you are trying to do.
