*** ERROR 14: Missing property # 1 referenced by CQUAD4 # 1.

Hi everyone, 

 

I am running a simple shaft model under torsion. The model uses hexa meshing and this is my first time using it. When i tried to run the model, it keeps showing me the following error:

 

 *** ERROR 14: Missing property #    1 referenced by  CQUAD4 # 1.

 

Does anyone has any idea how to fix it?

you have probably created a shell mesh before creating your hexa mesh, and it is in the same component as your hexa mesh. So in this case the cquad elements have a psolid property applied to them, probably.

Try masking the only the hexa elements, and you will notice the shell mesh. Then, delete these shells.

For nmasking use the 'Mask Browser', and hide only the 3D elements.
