Good Day!

We have a product which contains PCB board with lot of components in it. Now we want to perform an analysis to find out the Displacement of the components in the PCB board when the sudden vibration is occurs. The sudden vibration due to our hand holds the product when we are in walking, running or jogging and carrying it into pocket. Also we want to perform the analysis for entire product, for now we want to perform only on pcb boards.

So I request .help me to select which analysis should we perform and how to approach this model including meshing and model setup.

Is this analysis can be performed using Hyper mesh ? or please suggest me to which software should I use ?

Thanks & Regards,

    Hi Siva,

You can do FRF analysis for such study. You need to know the excitation points, loading details and your output response point for Displacement. This can be done in Optistruct.

You can follow the below tutorial for set up.

    Thanks

    Hi, Thankyou for your reply.

I followed the above tutorial and I noted that the following inputs are required:

    1) SPC

    2) DREA

    3) FREQi - To specific the F, Df Ndf.

    4) rload to combine the table and freqi.

    5) Param - couple mass, G , WTmass.

I will fix the Pcb board using Spc. But We don't have any load like Darea or Force or velocity or acceleration.

What load and Frequency range should I consider?

How vibration happens to our device was mentioned in the above questions?.

I request you help me to perform this analysis using Hypermesh Optistruct.

    Thanks & Regards

Load is nothing but how the excitation is happening and at what point? It can be in the form of Displacement, velocity, Acceleration and Force. FREQ is required as we want to know how the output varies in the frequency range. As you mentioned the loading is due to holding the device, then those are were it is touching the hand will be your excitation point. You can apply either displacement or Force load.

    Thanks
