From EDEM - Coupling with Ansys Fluent eLearning, where to find 'EDEM_deck' and 'fluent files' for tutorial explained in Lesson 2 - Coupling Example: Fluidized Bed
Hi,
The question is self-explanatory, I'm unable to find the files to reproduce the simulation as in the video.
This is the link to the course.

My question is with reference to video 2.
Thanks

Hi Kiran,
You can find the PDF files of tutorials with step-by-step explanation and input files here for coupling EDEM and Fluent.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply, the link you shared gives me the mesh file for the fluidized bed. When I was trying to follow the pdf, the coupling did not seem to happen as expected.
I followed the below articles before I set up the case:
1. For the visual studio setup (I even added the location to path in environment variables.
https://community.altair.com/community/en/edem-fluent-coupling-start-here-compilation-and-set-up?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0116548&sys_kb_id=4be2e5741ba83810c4dfdbd9dc4bcbbd&spa=12. For EDEM- Fluent coupling this is the article that I followed.
https://community.altair.com/community/en/altair-edem-coupling-for-ansys-fluent-with-combustion?id=kb_article&sysparm_article=KB0117663&sys_kb_id=d0ce33751b816dd0c4dfdbd9dc4bcbbd&spa=1When I try to load the journal file this error pops up
I have attached relevant images for your reference.
Please help me resolve this.
Thanks,
Kiran

Hi Kiran,
I am not sure of the problem, but have you added the two bin and lib folders to your system environment path?
C:\program files\Altair\2022.2\EDEM\bin
C:\program files\Altair\2022.2\EDEM\lib

Hey Mehdi,
I have added path of the lib and bin folders.
Any other reason why you see this happening in my case?0 -

Which version of EDEM and Fluent are you using, and which compiler (version of visual studio) do you have?
It looks like the error is related to the environment variables as the compiler can't find the files which are installed to the EDEM /lib and /bin paths. Can you confirm the environment variables are pointing towards the version you are compiling for and the path is correct, that this matches what is installed on your PC. It is also important to set these as System environment variables not user variables.
