Sprocket_chain cannot work?

Hi everyone,

Can you help me? Why sprocket and chain cannot work?

Hello Brian - I notice a few issues with the model.

1) There are fixed joints connecting the links. The links should have a rotating dof between each other in order to make them move. For now, I recommend changing all those joints to Revolute.

2) There is no joint on the 30 teeth sprocket. it needs a pivot, likely a revolute, similar to the other sprocket.

3) One of the link is connected to the ground body. (Joint 59).

I would recommend to fix the above problems with the model. Deactivate the motion and see if you can get the chain rest on the sprockets purely under gravity.

Note that there will still be a few redundant constraints.

1. Why is the chain not taut? 
2. When I add a moment value, why it cannot work?
