How can I apply materials, especially aluminum on my model?
Hi, I need assistance when it comes to applying material on my model, during CADFEKO, but now I have a problem so asking a question.
I have my CAD models, all of them are aircrafts and want to add aluminum materials on each models,
How I applied materials previously was making thin layer of aluminum coated surface, with the procudure I write here,
but I think the way how I did was incorrent.
I uploaded a question but I could't get answer so I re-upload my question here again.
I would really appreciate if you could provide me a guidance.
1. Making aluminum property under the name of "Aluminum Property", with given properties like permittivity of real aluminum.
2. Select thickness of Aluminum coating layer(just simply ignore the number 0.5).
3. Change reion to free space.
4. Applying aluminum layer I created to all faces of CAD model, for this time name of Coating layer is "Aluminum_Layer".
It seems like instead of applying thin aluminum layer on default material surface, for my case PEC,
I think I should just change whole PEC to aluminum Media - Metallic, but not sure this is the right way...

Hello Yun,
Please apply "Aluminum" to all the faces with some thickness as shown below.
(I think Aluminum aircraft is a realistic model.)
PO doesn't support finite conductive material simulations, so I would recommend you to use ACA, MLFMM or MoM.
Please see the attached model.

I am not sure. I have a waveguide with a dielectric filling under basic setup when creating a new project.
Whenever I am trying to apply a metal (aliminium) to the outer surface, or the inner surface, which is contactin with the dielectric, only "Perfect electric conductor" is availale in the drop-down list.
- What are the prerequisites to using imperfect metals, or layered metal platings? May only non-closed sheets be used?
- Is there solving inside metal possible? (A case of thin foils and penetrative low-frequency field)0
