3d flexible body to flexbody contact
How to assign 3d flex to flex contact like in recurdyn (not point to deformable surface) plz kindly provide me a solution

Hi jillukevin
Flex to Flex contact is a limitation in MV/MS. At the current version this is not supported.
As a workaround define a deformable surface on the surface of the flexible body and create a “point to deformable surface”.
you can refer to the tutorial MV-1028: Modeling Point-to-Deformable-Surface (PTdSF) Higher-Pair Constraint to define point to deformable surface

Thanks u so much for the reply sir . Giving ptdsf joint becomes tedious when I want to define contact between flex surface to flex surface even though i can select the interface nodes of the flex body1 as a point and deformable surface of flex body2 the solver gives me a error that parametric value of deformable surface went out of range value =.5015, how to increase this parametric value of this deformable surface beyond this range. thank u

Hi Nicolas,
Please find the tutorial here:

Hope this helps!

This is original a 10y old comment. Both MotioView/MotionSolve and InspireMotion supports Flex-Flex contact via the standard contact setup.
