Does "INISTRS" works for set of membrane elements?

Hello,

I am working on "INISTRS" to map initial stress from *.h3d file of the previous run. It works very well with set of PSHELL elements. However, it does not work with set of membrane elements, very thin element like 10e-5 mm. In my understanding, the membrane element is a kind of PSHELL element, so it should work the same. I am wondering if this is a limitation on Hypermesh or not.

P.S. My model consist of PSOLID + membrane elements that are wrapping PSOLID as external layer.

    Hi Ariya,

    While defining membrane element have made MID2 and MID3 as blank?
