How to remove sequence numbers from mainframe source code?

You are logged into the Mainframe using your terminal emulator software.

Using the ISPF editor, select each affected member, and type NUM OFF in the command line, then PF3 to save the edited member.

That's it. You don't even need to check to see if the script has got sequence numbers or not – just edit every one in the same way and build up a 'rhythm' to your typing.

Most people have F12 set to 'retrieve' in ISPF, so first time through would be 'S', 'NUM OFF', ENTER, F3 and then 'S', F12, ENTER, F3 again and again thereafter.
For 100 programs or so, no real biggy – an hour's-worth of work or so at worst. If it were thousands of scripts, then it would be a different story.
