Altair Analytics Workbench: Workspaces
When you open Altair Analytics Workbench, the Altair Analytics Workbench Launcher dialog is displayed that enables you to select a workspace.
A workspace is a parent folder that is used to store settings, preferences and all working files in the Project Explorer. By default the workspace folder is Workspace1 in your home directory, this can be changed to any required name by editing the path in the Workspace text box. Alternatively you can click Browse and navigate to an existing workspace folder. It is recommended you use a workspace folder on your local device rather than one on a remote server.
Workspaces can be used to manage separate projects or settings, for example, projects that require you to work between different file encodings. To switch between workspaces, from the File menu, point to Switch Workspace and select the required workspace.
For more information see the Altair Analytics Workbench User Guide in your installation, or available from the Altair community documentation site (https://help.altair.com).
