How to convert CST ASCII .txt file to .apa file for WinProp?

Hi,

I used CST 2022 to simulate an antenna pattern and exported it as an ASCII .txt file. But it seems in WinProp, the ASCII antenna pattern should be .apa file. I found a guide saying "Dassault Systèmes(CST) Microwave Studio can save antenna patterns in WinProp .apa format." But in CST, the pattern could be exported in .txt or .ffs format. May I ask if there is any way to convert CST ASCII .txt file to .apa file for WinProp? Many thanks for considering my question.

Best wishes,

XW

    Hi XW,

I cannot tell if on the CST side the .apa export is still available. But could you share the file you are trying to import to check its data format?

    Best,

    Hi XW,

the WinProp .apa format is described in the user guide on pages 327 and 328.
By using a text editor or Excel it should be possible to convert the CST ASCII .txt file to the WinProp .apa format.

    Best regards,
