Manufacturing capabilities are still restrained by the size of 3D printing machines, which makes today the technology unsuitable for larger components. Investment Casting and pattern 3D printing is an answer, with the advantage of material and process already qualified. By the combination of the two technologies and the topological optimisation to organic structure, Manufacturing becomes possible with function integration at attractive cost.
