The Session began with a brief overview of  Creating Macros in Data Prep Studio(DPS), Report Redaction, and Trapping Open Session  before diving into the LIVE Questions.

The Session began with our Expert reviewing the following:

• Steve began by reviewing Creating Macros. (add timestamp)

  • Macros are exclusive to DPS and provide a functionality similar to User Defined functions in Monarch Classic.

  • Steve explain how to use macros after apply changes or group of changes.

• • You can access Macros through the drop-down menu or navigate to the library to create and open them. It's important to note that Macros are specific to the data type.
    • Steve proceeded to walk through the process of creating a Macro for a text field. The steps involved changing the case, removing extra spaces, eliminating numbers, and filtering out special characters.
      
      
• Steve then reviewed how one can Redact their data set.
