Tips, Tricks, and Inquiries: Validate Ribbon

In this Tips, Tricks, and Inquiries demo we explore the various tools in the Validate ribbon of HyperWorks 2021.2. This ribbon contains tools that can help identify potential problems in a model. It's a good idea to visit each of these tools before sending the model to your solver.

In this video we will :

  • Identify potential solver errors with the Model Checker tool
  • Identify and isolate elements with poor quality using the Element Quality panel
  • Count entities using the Count panel
  • Check for mesh interference using the Penetration tool
  • Query the mass, center of gravity, and inertia of the model with the Mass tool
  • Correct mesh edges and faces using the Free Edges and Faces panels, respectively
  • Remove unnecessary entities using the Unused and Empty tools
