CPU choice

Hello,

we are going to purchase new hardware for our Inspire Cast machine. Can you recomment a CPU or a whole system? Did you run tests, benchmarks etc?
Are there much differences between a AMD Threadripper and a Ryzen 9 59xx. Lets say 100% faster or so?
Do you run it on Linux? What are the most annoying issues with it?
The ALTAIR recommendations are known, i just want to hear your personal experiences.
Currently we are running a Win10 system with an i7 7700k 4c/4t with 32GB RAM.

Please share your experiences with me.

    Going more into details of what type of CPU a client might need, the most important for us is the cache size and the memory bandwidth, the clock speed is not so crucial for us. Just as a friendly suggestion, threadripper CPU seems to be working quite well for us (see for example https://en.wikichip.org/wiki/amd/ryzen_threadripper/3990x)
