HyperMesh: How to find and delete duplicate elements?

Duplicate elements are elements that are in the exact same place and share the same nodes.

To find and remove duplicate elements in HyperMesh, you can use the following steps:

1. From the Validate ribbon, click the Model tool.
2. Open the options menu and set Check Entity to All.
3. Click Run Checks.

 

4. Within the ModelCheck Browser click the Icon in front of ERROR to expand all messages.

 

5. RMB click on Duplicate 2D Elements to open the context menu.
6. Click Delete to remove the duplicate elements.

 

7. As an alternative to the first solution, you can also click the Auto Correct icon.

 

The Status icon now shows you that the error has been fixed, duplicate elements have been deleted.
