Hypermesh proposes the Boolean Operations tool to list elements/node and create new sets.
You can set Boolean operations with the following types:
- Union
- Intersection
- Union-Intersection
- Remove list B from list A
- Remove list A from list B
This tool can be found under Aerospace->Sets->Boolean On Sets (Optistruct and Nastran)
Aerospace menu is hidden by default. It can be shown by right clicking in the top drop-down menu (View->Ribbons->Aerospace):
Usage Instructions:
Step 1: Select Entity type for the set, nodes or elements
Step 2: Select the Entities in each group
Step 3: Choose the Boolean Operation
Step 4: Choose a name for the new set
Step 5: Click the Create Button
