Element quality check between nastran and optistruct
Hi,
I am having a Nastran solver deck and want to run it on optistruct solver. When I see element quality criteria in Nastran , it shows max. as 0.008 but the same in Nastran shows 51.55
How these values can interpreted as both decks solvers showing different values.
Any methodology to understand this
Thank you

Hi Gopal,
Can you let me know which criteria are you looking at?
You have given numbers of 0.008 and 51.5, which quality parameter is it for?

You can refer this on how element quality is calculated.

Hi,
There is one tool in 17 version in Hyperview> Preferences>NVH utilities to understand the identification of global and local modes. It talks about setting a criteria based on percentage range for identification. I wanted to know how it is setting up this criteria
I have attached image for reference
