How to Open Monarch Classic Models and Workspaces

This video provides a quick demonstration on how to open Monarch Classic Models and Data Prep Studio Workspaces.

Classic Models - Methods for opening a Classic Model

  • Drag and drop a Classic Model into an open instance of Monarch Classic, then drag and drop the relevant report.
  • Drag and drop a Report into Monarch Classic, then drag and drop the Monarch Classic Model onto the report in Monarch
  • Double-click on the Monarch Classic Model and it will open a new instance of Monarch, then you can use File Open and Browse, or drag and drop a report
  • Right-click on a report and Open With Monarch Classic, then drag and drop a report on top of the report.

Workspace

  • Workspaces can only be opened in Data Prep Studio
  • Classic models can be opened in Data Prep Studio by Open and Browse, and Drag and Drop
  • Double-click to Open a Workspace or Open and Browse.
