Editing and running EDEMpy scripts using Altair Compose

Altair Compose offers users powerful IDE functionality for Python, which can be leveraged to develop and execute EDEMpy scripts.

To this end, the EDEMpy library needs to be installed in the Compose python distribution.

On Windows, this can be achieved via the shell commands shown below or by modifying the provided .bat file using a text editor and executing it as an administrator.

After installation, you will be able to edit and execute EDEMpy scripts using Altair Compose in the same way as any other python script.

For example you can execute the EDEMpy scripts in the EDEM calibration kits as shown below.
