In HyperMesh the global numeric format can be set via File/Preferences/HyperMesh/Appearance/Numerical Format.
If you determine the area/volume/mass using the Measure satellite icon, you get the global numerical accuracy.
You can change the numerical precision via the options menu.
In order to have the results displayed with a higher precision.
